KTU is situated in Kaunas, the 2nd largest city of Lithuania and consists of 9 faculties and 10 research institutes with 10,500 students (8 % of international students) and 1,500 academic and research staff. Ranked No. 1 technical university in Lithuania and is among top 4 % of the world universities (QS), University brings together highly talented students, researchers and academics to perform cutting-edge research, to deliver top quality education and to provide research and development services to a wide range of businesses on a truly varied array of projects. The scholarly community of KTU participates in more than 30 international science programmes and cooperates with global organisations such as NATO, BASF SE, ELSIS TS, Samsung, Hitachi, ThermoFisher Scientific and other companies. Prospective for dual degree programmes with higher education institutions ranges from Japan to USA. International students can choose from 16 Bachelor’s, 28 Master’s and 17 PhD study programmes in English in the fields of Architecture, Computer Science, Economics & Business, Engineering & Technologies, Humanities, Physical Sciences. Students benefit from studying in international environment, solving case studies with the teachers from industry and foreign partner universities, deepening their theoretic knowledge working in modern laboratories and/or performing internships. Study exchange possibilities are facilitated by Erasmus+ and bilateral agreements with around 200 universities across the globe not only in Europe but also in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Indonesia, Korea, USA, etc. Prospective for dual degree programmes with higher education institutions ranges from Japan to USA. By working together with international research networks, leading global businesses and student exchange programmes we create new opportunities for ourselves and contribute to advancement of global society. KTU offers scholarships for study, research achievements to international students. Specific programmes are provided to support talented students from CIS, Latin America, China as well as Asian countries. Many KTU international graduates returned back to their home countries and were offered promising jobs. Some of them continue their careers at universities in Kazakhstan, Korea, India.
