Our 7 architecturally different campuses are located in medium sized towns around the region of Häme. Every student has the opportunity for exchange studies abroad and projects with our research units. 

scholarships

HAMK’s scholarship programme is available for the nationals of non-EU and non-EEA countries who are studying for a degree in HAMK’s English-taught degree programmes. HAMK grants scholarships based on Finnish language skills. 
The scholarship programme awards students who gain at least the basic skills of Finnish language during their degree studies at HAMK. The aim of HAMK’s scholarship programme is to support the future employment of international degree students in Finland by encouraging students to gain good level of Finnish language during their studies. 
Students can be awarded with a scholarship two times during their studies, based on their level of Finnish language and provided that their studies progress with 60 ECTS credits per academic year at HAMK. The Finnish language skills are evaluated by exam results or HAMK’s Finnish language teacher’s written certificate.  
The first scholarship is Basic User of Finnish language (CERF level-A2), and worth €3200. The second scholarship is Independent User of Finnish language (CERF level B1), worth €6500. In total these two are €9700. HAMK also grants a scholaship for every student who goes on exchange and executes studies abroad (excluding students homecountry).
