Jönköping University (JU) is one of three Swedish private, non-profit institutions of higher education with the right to award doctorates. It is characterized by internationalization, an entrepreneurial spirit and collaboration with surrounding society. Jönköping University’s joint vision -”On our way to Jönköping International University 2025”.
The university operates on the basis of an agreement with the Swedish Government and conforms to national degree regulations and quality requirements. High quality education and international research that encourages work across disciplines are carried out at four schools: Jönköping International Business School, School of Engineering, School of Education and Communication and School of Health Sciences.
We have a genuinely international orientation and an extensive student exchange programme with approximately 350 partner universities all around the world. The five Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs-A,b,C,K & L) and Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (IIT-M) are among our partners in India. International students are completely integrated with Swedish students, taking courses together delivered in English.
In all activities within education, research and innovative projects the university have a close collaboration with business, industry and the wider society. The university is also committed to advance entrepreneurship and encourages students and faculty to start enterprises. It holds a strong position in national university rankings due to the high quality of its educational programmes, the many possibilities for its students to study abroad and the close cooperation with the students’ future employers.

The JU Business Incubator “Science Park”
Jönköping University is strongly engaged in the development of Science Park, Jönköping which provides support for the start-up, development and growth of business ventures. Science Park Jönköping supports enterprises in their development and in finding financing.
Situated close to campus, Science Park is a meeting place for business representatives and new ventures. Here they can find common ground for development and collaboration and take advantage of the close connection to the university.
In 2012 Science Park celebrated 10 years. Today there are some 100 businesses, new and well established, in the park. Since the start in 2002, Science Park has met about 2,500 business ideas and contributed to the launch of more than 900 companies.

Jönköping University offers scholarships on behalf of the Swedish government. The scholarships, intended for students who pay tuition fees, will cover a part of said tuition fee. The scholarships are a possibility for students to be financially supported during their period of study at Jönköping University.
