Founded in 1829 by H.C.Ørsted, Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is an internationally renowned university, and is among the top technical universities in Europe and the World, with approximately 2000 researchers, 11,000 students, and 1500 PhDs.

DTU offers an English taught BSc in General Engineering programme at the undergraduate level, plus the 30 two-year research-based elite MSc Engineering programmes covering most modern fields of study at the Graduate level. International Co-Operation forms an integral part of the DTU experience. Master Programmes

DTU’s 2-year Master programmes are research-based programmes at the highest technological level. The 30 MSc Engineering programmmes offered at DTU cover all the modern fields of Engineering. In these programmes, students acquire the qualifications and skills necessary to analyse, synthesize and evaluate theory and experiments relating to complex engineering systems, problems and solutions. All Master programmes are taught exclusively in English. Honour programmes are offered by each Master programme. An emphasis on the global markets is also present in the strategic alliances such as the EuroTech Universities, Nordic5Tech, KAIST, and a number of Joint International Programmes. Combined with exchange students from roughly 200 partner universities, DTU is a university whose campus has a distinctive international atmosphere.


DTU offers one English-taught full degree BSc programme in General Engineering. This is an interdisciplinary study programme that focuses on the broad and general engineering competences. The programme provides you with a solid grounding in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, and simultaneously teaches you to work across disciplines and apply them to solve actual problems.
