Welcome to study your Bachelor's and Master's Degree at the University of Turku!
In the application period 8–22 January 2020 we offer 3 International  Bachelor's Degree Programmes and 16 Master's Degree Programmes taught in English. The studies start in late August 2020. 
Turku has longstanding research traditions in the field of biomedical sciences. Especially the areas of drug discovery, diagnostics, and biological and medical imaging represent the top-level expertise of the University of Turku. The Master's Degree Programme in Biomedical Sciences has four specialisation tracks, and the close co-operation between them forms a unique educational combination of biomedical sciences in Finland and worldwide.
The studies in specialisation track Biomedical Imaging provide you with strong knowledge on cellular biology, anatomy and physiology, nanomedicine and biophysics.
The studies in specialisation track Drug Discovery and Development give you a deep understanding of up-to-date methods applied to identify and validate new drug targets and to generate lead drug molecule as well as methods of clinical drug research and development phases. 
The studies in specialisation track Medicinal and Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry equips you with theoretical and practical skills in drug screening, identification, design and targeting.
The studies in specialisation track Molecular Biotechnology and Diagnostics provide you with extensive theoretical and practical expertise on central concepts and techniques in modern molecular biotechnology and diagnostics.
The studies in Biomedical Sciences provide excellent possibilities for a career in life sciences. For example, you can work as quality manager, product developer, drug development pharmacologist, medical liaison, project manager or pursue a career in research.

Welcome to study your Bachelor's and Master's Degree at the University of Turku!
In the application period 8–22 January 2020 we offer 3 International  Bachelor's Degree Programmes and 16 Master's Degree Programmes taught in English. The studies start in late August 2020. 
Finland's education system is regarded as one of the best in the world. The University of Turku offers two Bachelor's Degree Programmes in Education. 
The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Early Childhood Teacher Education aims at educating education experts in early childhood, which, in the Finnish context, comprises education, teaching and care to support every child’s wellbeing, balanced development, and learning.
The programme in Primary Teacher Education provides students the opportunity to acquire a Master level teacher education in an international context. The combination of a Finnish Teacher qualification, a major in Education and the international context make programme unique. The degree is oriented towards primary teacher education (pre-school and grades 1-6 in basic education). The programme consists of studies in educational sciences, practical training and studies that provide pedagogical skills required for positions in primary education.

scholarships

Tuition fees are charged from citizens of a country outside the European Union (EU). The tuition fee is between 2,000€-12,000€/academic year, depending on the programme.

The tuition fee covers much more than just teaching and academic guidance in your Master’s degree programme. It opens a whole range of the University’s services for you. In addition to the courses defined in your programme curriculum, you can study courses from the other programmes according to your own choice and course availability, if the degree structure of your own programme allows. There are some hundreds of courses offered in English, which broadens your possibilities remarkably in creating a unique study path and an expert profile. You also get library services, IT-services, affordable sports facilities, and possibility to participate in language courses.

The University offers scholarships for students who are subject to the tuition fee. All scholarships are awarded based on academic merit. We do not offer scholarships for living expenses. You apply for a scholarship at the same time, in the same form, in which you apply to our degree programmes.

The scholarship programme has 3 categories: 2-year scholarship for the entire tuition fee, 2-year scholarship that covers 50 % of the tuition fee, and Scholarship for outstanding performance during the 1st study year. The scholarship covers the 2nd year tuition fee.
