ESAM Design vocation is the training of designers and directors of creative projects, capable of anticipating developments in their professional fields. These standards apply to 2 five-year diploma courses that each lead to a design diploma in Interior Design or Graphic Design. PROGRAMMES 1- FOUNDATION YEAR Drawing is an essential skill required in the field of design. The foundation year course reaches beyond a purely technical training, teaching the multi-faceted aspects of this discipline. After the foundation year, during which students become familiar with the world of applied arts, students opt for a 4 year course to learn about the diverse aspects of either graphic design communication or interior design. 2- GRAPHIC DESIGN COURSE 4 years programme. Graphic Design Communication at ESAM Design produces creative and versatile young designers, possessing a thorough knowledge of the graphic design process and familiar with the wide-ranging aspects of the different media. The diploma qualification “Graphic Designer” is officially recognized by the French state / Level II on the National Directory of Professional Certifications - RNCP. ESAM Design’s corporate relations service helps students find work placements and their first job offers. 3- INTERIOR DESIGN COURSE 4 years programme.The Interior Design course leads to professions concerned with improving the quality of living conditions and maintaining a sustainable environment. Students work most often on live projects. The diploma qualification “Designer/ Interior Designer” has been officially recognized by the French state / Level II in the National directory of Professional Certifications – RNCP. ESAM Design Paris is a member of the French Council of Interior Architects - CFAI (Conseil Français des Architectes d’Intérieur). ADMISSIONS FOUNDATION YEAR ADMISSIONS • Open to international students having the International Baccalaureate or equivalent national school leaving or university entrance qualifications. • Admission is based on an interview procedure that takes place each year from December through to July ADMISSION INTO THE 2ND OR 3RD YEAR • Students who have done a Foundation Course or an equivalent foreign diploma may apply for admission with equivalent status. • Admission is based on the applicant’sportfolio and an interview that takes place each year from December through to July.
