UTT is a French institution of higher education, located in Troyes, a medieval town, 90 minutes away from Paris in the heart of the Champagne region. Our core mission is to conduct research, deliver education & training and facilitate technology transfer. UTT is today one of the largest engineering schools in France. Over 2,750 students are registered at the University, enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral study programs. Our University offers six engineering degrees accredited by France's independent engineering degree accreditation body, the CTI, and EUR-ACE certified (European Accreditation of Engineering Programmes). Most courses are taught in French, but some courses are taught in English or English and French.

Last March UTT was ranked 1st among 209 European universities for its Computer, Information Systems, Networks and Telecommunication engineering programs, and 4th among 216 European universities for its Mechanical Systems Engineering program by Umultirank http://www.umultirank.org/#!/home?trackType=home.

Required Language Proficiency Scores: No French level required to attend courses in English. B1 European level in French required to attend courses in French.

Semester Dates: The school year is divided in 2 semesters: Fall and Spring. In general the semesters follow this calendar: Fall semester: • Summer school: August • Regular courses: early September – 3rd week of January Spring semester: • Winter school: 4th week of January to 3rd week of February • Regular courses: End of February – end of June

Workload per semester The UTT has adopted the European Transfer Credit System (ECTS) and its grading scale. Each credit course at UTT is worth 4 or 6 ECTS. 30 ECTS credits represent the workload of a semester of study (60 credits = one year).

ACCOMMODATION UTT assists students in finding accommodation which can be found on campus or in the town centre.
