BayIND has been set-up in order to coordinate and promote the university cooperation between Bavaria and India. In addition, the Centre has also been designed as a central service institution for companies (SMEs).

BayIND acts as a service centre for all the 9 Bavarian State universities and 17 Universities of Applied Sciences. The centre acts as a contact point for students, lecturers or researchers, who are interested in the exchange between Bavaria and India. Interested parties will be supported e.g. in obtaining scholarships, finding the right university or course of studies, internships, mobility allowances or research partners.
