The Czestochowa University of Technology (CUT) is the oldest and the largest higher education institution in the region which has full academic rights. All faculties can confer doctoral degrees and five faculties have the right to confer the status of habilitated doctor. The university is amongst the top universities in Poland of a similar profile in nationwide rankings. CUT has a reputation for being a modern and well-equipped school which offers a wide range of courses and a high level of education. The University is well known for producing highly educated students, and CUT has over 70,000 alumni.

CUT currently offers courses to 11,000 students within the framework of six Faculties - and students can choose from over 100 specialities in 28 fields of study. The University also prides itself on having good student infrastructure: a wide range of high-standard laboratories and modern lecture rooms as well as three halls of residence offering places for over 2000 students. It also hass its own publishing house and a brand new modern main library. CUT provides a free internet access for all students and employees.

The University is a partner in several research projects within the framework of programmes, research and education initiatives. The University is also an active member of the Erasmus programme, including the newly unveiled ERASMUS+. Each year students have the opportunity to study one or two semesters in foreign academic centres in an EU member state. Moreover, students can undergo professional training abroad in a European country of their choice. Student mobility is financed from the University and European Union Funds. Moreover, almost all our degree courses are accredited by the European Federation of National Engineering Associations in Brussels (FEANI). This means that our University graduates can apply for the title of European Engineer (EUR ING), which strengthens their position in the global job market.
