The Master’s Degree Programs organized within the DIREI are designed and developed with the strategic objective of providing the essential skills of a successful career in the dynamic professional field of international relations and European integration. Many DIREI graduates have already been hired in relevant positions within central public administration (for example: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the international relations or European affairs Directorates from Romania’s Government, authorities, agencies or councils), multinational companies, media, international organizations and missions, academia, companies involved in European funds management and so on. The current philosophy of our Master’s Degree Programs meets both the needs of a general training and also the needs alleged by niche specializations. Alongside the classical DIREI master’s degree programs (International Relations and European Integration, Conflict Analysis and Resolution, European Politics and Economy), in the current academic year, there were introduced two new professional specializations, one regarding evaluation (Evaluation of European Public Policy and Programs) and another regarding diplomacy (Security and Diplomacy, in the tradition of NATO executive master). The educational offer of the DIREI for next year aims to launch the following new master’s degree programs: Social Economy, The European Socioeconomic Model, Diplomacy and Negotiation, Advanced Studies in International Relations and European Integration. The educational offer of the DIREI addresses both graduates of International Relations, European Studies, Political Science, History, but also to graduates of Foreign Languages, Literature, Sociology, Communication and economists who want to complete their studies in order to increase their chances to get a position within the EU institutions, the UN, NATO, OSCE, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organization, etc. The DIREI graduates acquire or complete their training with the aim of becoming diplomats, experts and negotiators in international institutions and international organizations, experts in ministries, county councils, prefectures or municipalities, public policy and program evaluators, experts in European funds, mediators of international conflicts, and so on.
