The Estonian University of Life Sciences is the fourth largest public university in Estonia, located in Tartu, the second-largest city of Estonia that is also called the student capital of Estonia. The university is among top 1% scientific institutions in the world in the fields of plant and animal science as well as environment / ecology, and belongs to top 100 universities in the field of agriculture and forestry. There are around 4000 students, among them around 200 international students from various European and Asian countries, including India. The university offers internationally accredited English-language programmes in Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Landscape Architecture (MSc), and various disciplines on doctoral level, as well as exchange courses. All international students are granted a place in the student dormitory located on the campus that has modern sports facilities and free wifi. Estonian University of Life Sciences has two modern dormitories on its campus, within short walking distance from institutes and the centrally located Sports Building. All international students are guaranteed a spot in one of the dormitories.
