Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Artístico do Porto, or CESAP, is a private Higher Education Institute heading two schools in the fields of arts and architecture - Escola Superior Artística do Porto (ESAP) and The Escola Superior Artística do Porto-Guimarães (ESAP-GMR). These two schools are located in the historical centre of world heritage cities of Porto and Guimarães. Escola Superior Artística do Porto (ESAP) is associated with UNESCO and has several bilateral agreements with Universities from around Europe and Latin America. It has a strong reputation for international mobility for faculty members, students and staff, and ESAP has been awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) 2014-2020.

The Escola Superior Artística do Porto-Guimarães (ESAP-GMR) is a polytechnic school located in the city of Guimarães, a former European Capital of Culture in 2012 and a European Capital of Sports in 2013. ESAP-GMR has an international outlook - and it is currently searching to establish bilateral agreements with European schools for students, teachers and staff mobility under the Erasmus+ programme. The ESAP-GMR was awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) 2014-2020.

As well as being part of the prestigious European Higher Education System, the Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Artístico do Porto (CESAP) is located in two of the most important historical cities of Northern Portugal, offering an intense cultural life with affordable living costs. In terms of transport links, the area is second to none. The international airport of Porto (Oporto) offers a wide range of connections directly or indirectly around the world - and low-cost airlines offer very cheap flights from Porto to many cities in Europe. In terms of administration, students from India need to apply for a short term visa, for short courses, or a long term visa for longer courses or to work on research projects (more information can be found online at http://pt.vfsglobal.co.in/).

For further information on The Escola Superior Artística do Porto-Guimarães, students should e-mail dir@esap-gmr.com. For further information on Escola Superior Artística do Porto students should e-mail erasmus@esap.pt. In order for a foreign student to apply here outside of the Erasmus Program, it is necessary to establish a Protocol between ESAP and the students Home University.
