Founded in the early 1920s, since the beginning it has always been a symbol of openness and tolerance, as well as a meeting place for different cultures and people becoming a real laboratory of intercultural education. The University’s institutional responsibility is to promote Italian language and culture throughout the world and to encourage a greater appreciation for the diversities among us. In the early 1990s the University has been reorganized and its extraordinary experience of internationalisation has been expanded with the introduction of BA and MA degree courses, Postgraduate and PhD courses for Italian and foreign students.
