Forensic Science and Archaeology

Forensic Science and Archaeology is an increasingly popular discipline which combines two exciting scientifically related subjects. This combination is offered at Masters level at several UK universities including the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, the University of Southampton, Cranfield University, and Bournemouth University. The University College London and Queen’s University in Belfast Northern Ireland also offer courses related to this discipline - the former offering an MSc in Crime and Forensic Science which includes modules in forensic archaeology, as well as an MSc in Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology; whilst The University of Exeter runs a 4 year BSc in Archaeology with Forensic Science and the University of Bradford a 3 year BSC in Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology. The University of Lincoln in the UK offers an English-taught 2 year Erasmus Mundus Masters in Forensic Science in association with the University of Cordoba in Spain, and the Institute of Health Sciences in Egas Moniz, Portugal – which includes Forensic Anthropology and Statistics in Forensic Science. The University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands also offers a well regarded 2 year English-taught MSc in Forensic Science.
