According to the QS World University Rankings 2016, European HEIs perform well in this subject particularly those in the UK – with the London School of Economics and Political Science (4), the University of Oxford (5), the University of Cambridge (7) and London Business School (9) all ranked in the World’s Top 10. In Continental Europe, HEC Paris School of Managment, Copenhagen Business School, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and the University of Amsterdam – all make the QS World Top 50. EHEVF 2016 participant Aalto University in Finland also makes the QS World Rankings for this subject. Aalto University School of Business offers several masters courses including in Advanced Corporate Finance, Advanced Investment Theory, Banking and Financial Intermediation, Derivatives and Risk Management, Econometrics for finance, International Financial Management, Marketing Financial Services, and Venture Capital – as well as doctoral programmes. Accountancy and Finance is a popular subject offered by French technical institutes, which are similar in structure to Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
